About us
The Penn Symposium on Contemporary China (PSCC) is an annual event organized by undergraduate students from the University of Pennsylvania. The 2022 Symposium will take place April 23, 2022 on the University of Pennsylvania campus. We aim to provide a unique high-level academic forum for the discussion of the political, legal, economic, and social factors shaping China and its role in the world today. The 2022 conference will feature Council on Foreign Relations International Fellow and Senior Advisor at the U.S. Treasury Department Office of International Financial Markets, David Wertime, as the keynote speaker.
The Symposium reaches out to top graduate students across the U.S. to present their research on pressing contemporary issues facing China and its role in the world. In addition to providing a public forum for young scholars to share and discuss their findings, the Symposium is also a platform for prominent speakers from the business, foreign affairs, civil society, and academic sectors to share their professional insights. Council on Foreign Relations International Fellow and Senior Advisor at the U.S. Treasury Department Office of International Financial Markets, David Wertime, will deliver the 2022 Symposium keynote address.
